We Be Out ("we," "us") runs webeout.app, a map of happy hour and food & drink specials in Chicago. This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We built this site to be simple and low-data by design — we don't require an account, and we don't run ads or third-party trackers.

Information we collect

Deal submissions. When you use "Add a Deal," we collect the bar or restaurant details you enter (name, address, neighborhood, cuisine, deal times, and description). We don't ask for your name or contact info to submit a deal. Submissions are reviewed before they're published to the public map.

Newsletter. If you subscribe using the footer form, we collect your email address and pass it to Mailchimp, our email provider, to send you updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email.

Contact form. If you message us through the Contact page, we collect your name, email, and message so we can respond.

Third-party services

The site loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap/CARTO, fonts from Google Fonts, and (as noted above) uses Mailchimp for newsletter delivery and Netlify for hosting. Each of these services may receive standard technical information — like your IP address and browser type — as part of loading the page, under their own privacy policies. We don't use analytics or advertising trackers.

How we use your information

We use the information above only to run the site: reviewing and publishing deal submissions, sending newsletter emails to subscribers, and replying to messages. We don't sell personal information to anyone.

Your choices

To unsubscribe from the newsletter, use the link in any email. To ask us to remove a deal submission or any other information, reach out through the Contact page — we read every message.
